I wouldn't say it's a good example, but we use them for some acronyms, and words that people use to look for particular information that might not completely match on the page.
For example, people looking for ASIC information will get several pages in the results. The Best bet points to the main ASIC page.
If you search for "Alcohol" the most likely thing you're searching for is whether or not you can take it on a plane, in which case you want "Taking duty free items on board".
These links are likely to change at some point as I'm currently upgrading to 15.10 and will change from a standalone search page to one embedded within our site.
