Best Practice Analytics when it comes to Meta and Component Collections

Stumbled across this setting today,
analytics.scheduled_database_update=false

Is it considered best practice to have this setting applied to a Meta Collections Sub / Component Collections?

I'm guessing it would improve the performance of the nightly reporting task. But would having the setting applied to the sub collections, disrupt the analytics for the parent meta collection?

Hi Tim,

We would tend to add this setting to any collection that isn't collecting analytics - so you could consider it best practice.

In reality, if those components are processed for analytics there shouldn't be much work to do as there won't really be much in the logs to process.
