Disable file backup in File Manager

Is it possible to disable the file backup when saving / making changes within the File Manager.

It creates a huge build up of files and we prefer to GitHub for backup / source control of these files.

Yes, if a file is editable in the new admin UI (web resources, templates, some configuration files). User needs to toggle switch "Retain a backup of the original file" that is above save button in edit mode.

No, if a file is editable still in the old Perl admin UI (still few configuration files).
