I’m wondering if funnelback can be configured to do either of both of the following:
send an email to the admin_email address when the licence is about to expire e.g. “Warning the licence for funnelback will expire in 10 days” and when the licence has actually expires.
send an email to a user, when that user has had an account created e.g. " Hello an account for you has been set up on funnelback. Login now and change your password."
If they are standard functionality, how do I configure funnelback to enable this?
These features aren’t available in the current version of Funnelback, but they do sound like useful things to suggest to the Funnelback Product Manager. I’ll bring it to their attention.
The Admin APIs may be a good starting point to poll for some of those system-level changes, though:
Alternatively when the annual fee is paid can the account manager arrange for the new licence to be sent out. One problem I see with the newer annual licence instead of the older on-going licence is when staff members change, particularly if there was minimal chance for a hand over.
Having the new licence sent when the annual fee is paid would be a good thing too.
However, a nice user friendly email would be good too. The current email has a whole lot of java error messages that would be off putting to non technical people, while a simple email saying " License has expired." With a message about the 30 day grace period is much easier for all.
