We have some cases where pages are not returning in our search results.
For instance, when I search for "staff" it doesn't show our staff page (URL is /staff and it's linked from every header menu across the entire site). I can see someone has created a Best Bet to force this page to show top of the results when searching for "staff" however, it seems to be case sensitive so "Staff" and "STAFF" doesn't show it. Anyway, this should be showing in our organic searches surely.
What's a good approach to debug this?? Firstly, I want to ensure that our Staff page is being indexed.. how do I check this? Upon confirming that it is being indexed, how do I investigate why it isn't showing in our searches.. is the Best Bet setting preventing this? I looked into the setting of the Best bet and it doesn't have the option set to not show it in the results, but still it doesn't show.
Anyway help would be much appreciated.
